Announced during the Washington Auto Show’s Policy Day, the award is presented by Green Car Journal. For the past 15 years, the high-profile Green Awards have recognized environmental accomplishment in the auto industry. Vehicles distinguished by a Green Car Award earn this honor for blending laudable environmental performance with other characteristics including style, value, safety, performance, and in the case of Luxury Green Car of the Year, high levels of luxury and exceptional driving experience. This year’s finalists included offerings from BMW, Lincoln, Porsche, and Land Rover.
