When you have so much money that you don’t blink an eye when buying a brand new Rolls-Royce, what do you do? If you’re 33-year-old Houston Rockets player P.J. Tucker, you have a pair of custom shoes made to match your latest four-wheeled acquisition.
Tucker may not be a household name to those outside of the United States, but to those who are fanatical about shoes, he’s very well known. In fact, he claims to own more than 2200 pairs of shoes, and during the 2017-2018 season alone, spent over $200,000 on sneakers. It’s hardly surprising then that he wanted a special pair of shoes to go with his Cullinan.
Thus, the crew at Dank & Co crafted a pair of custom kicks based on the Air Jordan 3s. The shoes feature white leather across the outside and include a Rolls-Royce logo on the tongue, while the inside is made from red fabric. Oh, and there is an alligator print on the outside.
Tucker’s Cullinan has the same white paint and the cabin is bathed in luscious red leather.
We have absolutely no idea how much a pair of custom Air Jordan 3s like these one costs, but to the NBAer it’s probably just loose change. After all, he’s owned a own a number of impressive exotics, including a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster, a Ferrari 488 Spider, and a Rolls-Royce Phantom.
Tilman Fertitta hosted an exclusive red-carpet reception on Wednesday, November 13, at The Post Oak Hotel at Uptown Houston to officially announce his Rolls-Royce showroom joining Houston’s premier luxury auto dealership, Post Oak Motor Cars.
Tilman Fertitta, president of Tilman Fertitta Company, Post Oak Motor Cars’ parent organization, welcomed the elite group of attendees. “With Rolls-Royce joining Post Oak Motor Cars, this two-story showroom is now the largest factory-authorized Rolls-Royce dealership on the Gulf Coast,” said Fertitta.
At the invite-only event, guests were given a first look at the impeccably appointed, open-concept space, featuring Rolls-Royce’s first all-terrain SUV, Cullinan, creating a new dimension in ultra-luxury adventure.
President of Rolls-Royce Martin Fritsches attended the event along with several top executives, and more than 300 notable Houston-area residents including: Slim Thug; Donna and Rob Chramosta; Dr. Michael Ciaravino; Erika Bagwell; CoCo Dominguez; Sandy and Joseph Fertitta; Kristie and Billy Garrison; Yvonne Stern; Janet Wong; and Janee and Nick Stefanakis. Famed local and international artist, Gonzo of Aerosol Warfare, brought his urban artistry and community advocacy, creating a live, one-of-a-kind Rolls-Royce Wraith in partnership with Tire and Wheel Masters, a local business specializing in custom vehicle upgrades. The first issue of ‘Pinnacle,’ a motoring magazine highlighting luxury travel destinations and profiles of industry pioneers, debuted offering guests a photo opportunity within a replica of the magazine’s cover. Fine catering from The Post Oak Hotel and entertainment from DJ Senega rounded out the memorable evening.
The two-story showroom is located adjacent to The Post Oak Hotel, positioning clients in the heart of Houston opulence. “Clients of Post Oak Motor Cars are the area’s most discerning customers who expect a seamless buying experience, guided by expert and resourceful sales associates. Our team works tirelessly to ensure customers find the perfect motor car to fit their lifestyle and are thrilled to include Rolls-Royce among our fleet of luxury vehicles,” shared Lonny Soza, General Manager.
